Objectives of the action | Overall objective: Contribution to poverty alleviation through development of poor households in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. Specific objective: Increasing income generation opportunities for vulnerable farming households in remote villages of the Issyk-Kul region through improved skills on cattle-breeding/ marketing and setting up social partnership mechanisms. |
Target group(s) | Target groups:About 180 poor small scale farming households and their family members (around 900 people) in 12 remote villages improve skills and increase income generation opportunities 4 local NGOs increase their portfolio and outreach to remote areas at Issyk Kul region |
Main activities | Capacity building and increased coverage of services and activities by 4 Non-Governmental Organizations in Issyk-Kul region. |
Results | The project has built partnerships with more than 200 representatives of local communities, self-help groups, NGOs and the business environment for sustainable development of project region. For today have been conducted mobile trainings on technology and the basics of cattle breeding and veterinary. Were trained 181 representatives of farmers. For ensuring of the learning process quality, participants were provided with all the necessary materials: reference and informational literature and instruments. |
